Some new goodies for springtime

I'm loving these super light, glass and lucite leaf earrings.
Never underestimate the power of a jump-ring!

Handmade ceramic beads by Elaine Ray.
These are probably my most favorite bead/pair of earrings I've made!

I wish I had more time to create, but the sun in the sky and beautiful weather have been calling us outdoors!
Happy Spring everyone!

Another great order...

I blogged about the website: www.firemountaingems.com

This is my 2nd order, and while I'm still learning the difference between seeing it online/catalog or in person, I just got the most incredible Swarovski crystal beads!! I'm so excited to make some stunning and elegant earrings!

Here are just a few previews of the new beads before I make them into some great baubbles!

Here's my new catalog... This company is great, and $5 FedEx shipping!

A trip to my favorite place...

I love going to the local shop "Ornamentea". They have such unique and distinctive beading supplies and baubbles. Here are a few fun things I've made since my most recent visit. (You can check out their website at www.ornamentea.com)

These gold hoops are amazing with a pink/salmon
colored shell in a leaf shape

 Same as above, different view.

"Dancing Sparrows" - Gold filigree birds with
Czech glass beads and 14k gold earring hooks

In honor of today's Super Bowl game,
Go Steelers! (These lucite beads are so fun!)

More goodies to come soon!

The waiting game...

I found an amazing website the other day, and now I'm awaiting the arrival of all the beautiful goodies I ordered.

www.firemountaingems.com

This website has incredibly unique beads, Swarovski crystals of styles I've never seen in stores, and amazing prices.  The more you buy, the less it costs. With a flat FedEX shipping of $5, this website is fantastic. Now, as I  obsessively check the tracking code over and over again, I sit and watch the door until the FedEX deliveryman arrives! I can't wait to post pics of my haul! More to come, hopefully soon!!

Creative outlet

I love being able to create something out of various parts. Take these earrings:

Czech crystal and metal beads

These lovely baubbles are so fun, they make a statement without being overly bold. I'm learning along the way, what works and what doesn't.

Fun, new goodies!

Gold filigree with Czech glass beads

Murano-like glass teardrop beads on silver chain

Gold Filigree leafs with Swarovski crystal chains

Me! Wearing my fun, Czech glass bead cluster dangles!

What's your earring style?

Diamond studs, hoops, gold, silver, dangles? What's your favorite kind of earring? I wear 'em all. There are days where I need a funky pair of earrings, like ones made with wood looking like a tooth. Other days, I need simplicity of a diamond stud (or CZ in my case!)

I'll be posting photos of my earrings, tell me which ones you love?
Cheers and as a dear friend of mine always says "Have a Magnificent, magical Monday"!

Welcome to Jewels by EB

Waking up in the morning, I grab my "mommy gear", my diaper bag, and then put on my earrings. I love earrings, it's the one item I can go funky, classy, sassy and it makes me feel great about myself. About a year ago, my amazing sister taught me how to make earrings. Ever since then, I've been making them for myself, friends and family. I discovered I truly love the intricacy and tiny details that goes with making jewelry.

This blog is a journey through the wins (and sometimes losses) of earring making! It might seem trivial, but in a world of diapers, laundry, messy house, cleaning and laundry and all things domestic, my tiny sparkley earrings make me happy. I'm here to share my joy of making jewelry!
